Looks like a good start to Saturday, as usual the gurus are working overtime:
A new Silverlight business site from Ian Blackburn, Silverlight For Business.
More on Behaviors from Shawn Wildermuth - also, check out my previous links on behaviors.

Time to get reading and coding on behaviors in Blend 3:
Just beginning? Electric Beach has a great beginner series on Action, Triggers and Behaviors.
After you digest that, move on to one of our favorite blogs by Mike Taulty.
A good explanation and tutorial by Jose Fajardo shows the power of behaviors.
Also, start here on Kirupa’s blog and click around there, he’s got a few good pieces on triggers and behaviors.

a honeycomb pattern for navigation, similar to Windows Mobile 6.5 original, just add images/text/links.

Building off the Fire Animation tutorial at Silverzine, I thought I’d try a quick and dirty water button.
It only took about 10 minutes, and I’ll refine it more later so the animation is smoother and it responds to button clicks with various behaviors, and maybe some whitecaps. I don’t want to get too detailed on what will end up a much smaller button. This is a preview of a WaterWorld skin.
I can put up a quick tutorial later if anyone requests. I know it’s a bit rough, I just wanted to bang something out this morning before I went to the movies so I’d remember to get back to it later.
Also, I’m trying out WP-Spamfree on the blog due to lots of spam posts, so please email me if you post a comment and it doesn’t show up.

Use the tutorial at Silverzine to create your own easy button in Silverlight.
It’s a quick and easy 5 minute solution, even I can kind of do it. Don’t worry, they’ll help you do it much better.

I added some of the twitter feeds I like to follow on the Twitter page (see link above on the menu). All are relevant to the Silverlight, RIA or development community and consistently contribute great info.

Pete Brown has a monster post on Silverlight 3 on his blog with lots of good info and links. Don’t miss it.

I decided to put in a books section on the left side of the page, but I’m only listing books I personally have purchased and used, and am happy about buying.
There’s nothing worse than buying a book for $25-40 and finding out it’s not very relevant, so I’m not going to allow just anything to be listed there.
Amazon usually has some of the lowest prices on them, too.

A couple of multi-part tutorials from SilverlightShow.net should be on your reading list (if you’re not already far beyond this) if you are looking at Silverlight for more than just multi-media displays.
First, the RIA Services tutorial is a (currently) 5-part walkthrough and includes loading, visualizing and sorting data.
The LOB Tutorial is an on-going article (currently 7 parts) that talks about not just the technical, but also the why and how Silverlight can function as an LOB platform.
